On arrival, fly to Kulala Desert Lodge, located in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. This lodge offers magnificent views of the famous dunes, surrounding mountains and vast open plains. During your stay, travel to Sossusvlei, home of the highest sand dunes in the world, with some up to 300m high!
Continue inland to Damaraland Camp situated in the Huab River Valley. Over 240 species of bird are found in the area as well as unique desert adapted species including gemsbock and brown hyena.
Finaly, depart Damaraland for either Ongava Tented Camp or Ongava Lodge situated in the Ongava Game Reserve bordering famous Etosha NP. Daily game drives and walking trails (with armed guide) are offered within the reserve, as well as excursions into Etosha National Park.

Getting there
The main gateway to Namibia is through Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. Flights to Windhoek depart daily from Johannesburg, the city where most visitors begin their Namibia itineraries.
US – Flying to Namibia from the United States requires at least one stop over. The easiest way is via Frankfurt, Germany or Doha, Qatar. Both Lufthansa and Qatar Airways fly directly into Windhoek.
UK/Europe – Again, the most direct access is via Frankfurt, Germany or Doha with Qatar Airways. Alternatively, South African Airways and British Airways fly to South Africa’s capital Johannesburg. From there you can fly to Windhoek with South African Airways.

Days 1/2
Sossusvlei
Depart Windhoek by light aircraft to Sossusvlei and transfer to Kulala Desert Lodge, located in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. This lodge offers magnificent views of the famous dunes, surrounding mountains and vast open plains. Each room has a veranda and rooftop terrace where you can sleep out under the stars. During your stay, travel to Sossusvlei, home of the highest sand dunes in the world, with some up to 300m high!
Days 3/4
Damaraland
Depart on a breathtaking flight over Sossusvlei and along the Skeleton Coast where dunes and desert meet the tumultuous waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue inland to Damaraland Camp situated in the Huab River Valley. Over 240 species of bird are found in the area as well as unique desert adapted species including gemsbock and brown hyena. Game drives by 4WD in search of rare endangered desert elephant and black rhino are a highlight.
Days 5/6
Ongava
Depart Damaraland for the Ongava Game Reserve bordering famous Etosha NP. Daily game drives and walking trails (with armed guide) are offered within the reserve, as well as excursions into Etosha National Park. Accommodation will be at the intimate Ongava Tented Camp or Ongava Lodge (p69).
Day 7
Safari ends Windhoek
Travel by light aircraft to Windhoek.
