Getting there
Many major airlines including South African Airways, Qantas, Etihad, Emirates, Kenya Airways, Qatar, Singapore Airways and British Airways fly into Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport. There are also many regional and domestic carriers that service local cities such as Cape Town and the Kruger National Park area.
US – South African Airways fly’s directly to east coast cities including New York and Washington. Delta Airlines is another option to consider flying directly to Johannesburg from Atlanta.
UK / Europe – There are direct flights to OR Tambo International Airport with South African Airways from London-Heathrow, Frankfurt and Munich. Major European Airlines flying directly into Johannesburg include British Airways, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss International Airlines.
Cape Town and Garden Route Discovery

Day 1
Cape Town
Arrive Cape Town and transfer to the Cape Grace Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel located on a private quay within the vibrant V & A Waterfront.
Day 2
Cape Town
After breakfast enjoy a half day city tour of Cape Town including a visit by cable car to stunning Table Mountain. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Days 3/4
Cape Town
On your second day enjoy a full day tour of Cape Point taking in some spectacular scenery along the South African coastline. The following day indulge in a full day Cape Winelands tour tasting some local wines.
Day 5
Oudtshoorn
Depart Cape Town. Drive through winelands and take in the mountain vistas of the Klein Karoo. Visit an Ostrich Farm before arriving at Surval Boutique Olive Estate (or similar) late afternoon.
Day 6
Knysna
After breakfast take part in an elephant interaction experience. Explore the Cango Caves and drive over scenic Outeniqua Pass. Arrive in Knysna after lunch. Enjoy a sunset oyster cruise. Overnight at Protea Hotel Knysna Quays or similar.
Day 7
Knysna
After breakfast drive to Plettenberg Bay and embark on an ocean safari to observe whales, dolphins and seals. After lunch take a guided tour of the Qolweni Township and school. Optional dinner at a local waterfront restaurant.
Day 8
Tour ends Port Elizabeth
Today savour spectacular scenery on your way to Port Elizabeth via Tsitsikamma Forest. Enjoy lunch in the forest before crossing Storms River Bridge. Tour ends Port Elizabeth Airport or local hotel.
