Buhoma Lodge

Featuring sweeping views of the magnificent Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Lodge is one of only two properties physically inside the reserve.

As such, guests are mere steps from the starting point for life-changing Mountain Gorilla treks and other activities in this primeval rainforest.

Buhoma Lodge’s 8 lovely chalets are simple yet fitted with plenty of little luxuries, from large comfortable beds to spacious ensuite bathrooms containing rustic stone rainshowers with plenty of hot water. Some even feature Victorian-style claw-footed bathtubs, whilst all have furnished verandas overlooking the often mist-shrouded forest canopy.

The elevated main lodge contains a welcoming restaurant and bar, warmed by an open fireplace. This is where you’ll find a spa treatment room as well as handy power points for recharging electronic devices. From here, the departure area for guided gorilla trekking and forest walks is very close by. During your stay, you can also visit a local Batwa Pygmy community, tour a hospital and learn about Batwa cultural traditions.
