Offering exclusive and beautifully presented accommodation, the lodge is situated on Cooks Beach just 10 minutes from Lonely Bay and close to the seaside town of Whitianga, a short ferry ride away.

Lonely Bay Lodge accommodates just 10 guests in 4 spacious suites with en suite bathrooms and an outdoor terrace or balcony. There is also self-contained accommodation for four in a separate converted barn. The two-bedroom ‘honeymoon’ suite and the three one-bedroom suites, all feature king size beds, fine linens, en suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, and an outdoor terrace or patio with views of either native bushland, the beach or Purangi Estuary.

The main lodge has a relaxed but elegant beachside vibe with multiple fire places, large sofas, a cosy sitting room, a library, outdoor decks and a snug little area featuring a Bang and Olufsen plasma TV and sound system. There is even a romantic outdoor bath surrounded by ferns. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before setting out to explore the region’s many wonders. There are several dining options at Cooks Beach, or Hahei, and the small township of Whitiangi is a 5-minute ferry ride away.

The lodge can be taken for exclusive use with the option of daily servicing and breakfast, or guests can be fully self-contained and use the kitchen facilities.
