Ubuntu Camp is a mobile tented camp with just 7 comfortable suites under canvas with hot water bucket showers that afford guests views of the Serengeti’s migrating wildebeest.
This mobile tented camp follows in the wake of the migrating wildebeest ensuring that great gameviewing is always at its doorstep no matter what time of the year it is. There are just 10 simple yet sublimely comfortable suites (including 1 family tent) under canvas with hot water bucket showers that afford guests views of the wildebeest in their never ending quest for food and water.
From June to mid-November, Ubuntu Camp is pitched on the Lamai Wedge in the Serengeti’s far north, where there are fewer camps and vehicles and where guests can watch wildebeest cross the Grumeti River. From mid December to March, the campsite is set upon the seemingly endless southern plains, as the animals give birth, re-starting the natural cycle of life and death.
This completely safari-oriented camp offers twice-daily game drives in open and closed vehicles, hot air balloon excursions (in Ubuntu North only), cultural and community visits as well as requisite bush dining opportunities.
