Located on a protected peninsula in the island’s unspoilt south, Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa provides its guests with privileged access to three stunning beaches, the spectacular Blue Bay Marine Park which teems with aquatic life, as well as Ile aux Aigrettes, a nature reserve popular with both visitors and Mauritians. This five-star property provides accommodation in 327 stylish, sea-facing rooms, with a number of interconnecting units suitable for families with children.

Facilities at Shandrani include a full service spa with one of the most exotic settings in Mauritius. The active traveller will adore the many activities available at the property, including tennis, golf at a 9-hole course, mountain biking and a vast array of water sports. Both snorkelling and scuba diving are available so that guests can discover the region’s rich undersea life, whilst excursions by speedboat or glass-bottom boat are also possible. For children aged 3-12, there is a comprehensive kids’ club which offers education and entertainment as well as babysitting services so that parents can fully relax.

Dining options are extensive, with two international, one Thai and one Italian restaurant on the grounds. Choose from buffet-style or a la carte meals, with the opportunity to eat in the privacy of your own room. There are also two atmospheric bars – both located by swimming pools.
