Split Apple Retreat

The retreat boasts awe-inspiring views from the lodge of not just Tasman Bay, but pristine Abel Tasman National Park. This exclusive property offers some of the best bush walking and secluded beaches in New Zealand. It is also renowned as a wellness retreat, offering a variety of treatments and massages as well as meditation and yoga classes. Enjoy a morning yoga class in the Yoga Pavilion before exploring the surrounding wildernesses.

Activities on offer are almost endless. Kayaking, sailing and dolphin spotting are all possible in the bay whilst helicopter drop offs with private picnic lunches to inaccessible beaches can easily be arranged. Private paths lead to two beaches, including the famous 120 million-year-old Split Apple Rock, after which the retreat is named. Cycling and horseback tours are offered whilst exploring the regions vineyards is also a popular choice. There are countless family-owned boutique vineyards and cellar doors including in nearby Marlborough.

The retreat offers just 3 Asian-inspired suites: Lotus, Rainbow and Fuji. Each suite offers incredibly spacious accommodations with breathtaking ocean views from the private decks. Expect elegant ensuite bathrooms and amenities including Apple TV, motorised blinds and high-speed Wi-Fi.

The onsite restaurant specialises in serving gourmet food, with Chef Pen creating tasty and nutrition dishes. Learn how to cook some of the delicious dishes offered each day with cooking lessons headed by Chef Pen. Meals can be enjoyed on dining terrace with sensational views of Tasman Bay. The large salt water infinity pool also offers outstanding views, whilst there is also an 8-seat theatre with reclining leather seats.
