This relaxed safari lodge nestles in ancient forest along the Sand River, offering activities for all the family from yoga to an entertaining kids’ program.
This family-friendly safari lodge sits in the shade of ancient forest along the Sand River. 10 guest chalets are scattered beneath the trees, decorated in natural colours with soaring thatched roofs and private plunge pools. Three of these can be converted to accommodate children aged 6 or older.
At the main lodge is a special yoga deck, nestled high up in the boughs of a 500-year old ebony tree, with guests at Founder’s Camp treated on one complimentary group session a day. Meals at this property are enjoyed in the lovely communal dining area or in an atmospheric open-air ‘boma’.
Things to do at Founders Camp include game drives twice daily and thrilling bush walks guided by an armed ranger across sections of this wildlife-rich 34,000 acre reserve. To hone your camera skills, consider arranging a specialised photography safari, which comes with an exclusive-use vehicle, expert guide and access to Londolozi’s cutting edge media room. In between gameviewing activities, you can enjoy a massage or visit the gym. Children can take part in the Cubs Den program, which provides education with entertainment throughout their stay.

How to get to Londolozi Founders Camp
Scheduled or charter flights can be arranged to Skukuza Airport or Londolozi private airstrip to reach Founder’s Camp. The former is just over an hour away from the private game reserve by road, whilst the latter is a mere 5 minutes from the lodge.
