For a classic safari lodge experience, choose andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge, where colonial-era antiques and fine crystal glassware are plentiful beneath the rustic thatched roofs. The property features 20 thatched cottages, including three with interconnecting rooms and a standalone family suite. All feature floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor showers to remind you that nature is never far away. At the main lodge, there’s a swimming pool, a walled courtyard and traditional open-air ‘boma’ for al fresco meals.

Guests can fly into Hoedspruit Airport from Johannesburg (around 1 hour), where they are met and transferred by andBeyond staff to the private reserve approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the terminal.
