Elegant Savanna Lodge is wildly popular for good reason. This classic safari lodge sits amongst shade trees resonant with birdsong in the world-renowned Sabi Sand Private Game Reserves, where “Big 5” sightings are almost guaranteed, with leopards being a particular specialty.
Guests at Savanna Lodge are accommodated in 9 comfortably appointed suites, covered in either canvas or thatch, and furnished with magnificent ensuite bathrooms and expansive viewing decks overlooking the bush. The larger Executive Suites even have their own plunge pools, whilst the thatched Savanna Suite is designed to accommodate families with two bedrooms, each with an adjoining private bathroom.
Activities at Savanna Lodge include gameviewing by vehicle or on foot, relaxing treatments at the day spa, a library where photos and videos can be viewed and a lounge where board games or a spot of quiet bird-watching can be enjoyed. The main lodge also houses a large swimming pool, lush gardens, a bar and wine cellar. Dining takes place on the deck here, under the stars in the open-air ‘boma’ or in a candle-lit clearing in the bush.

Flights can be arranged from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, where you are met and transferred by road to Savanna Lodge (just under 2 hours).
