Chitabe (pronounced Chitabee) is located in a private concession area on a beautiful island in the south-east of the Okavango Delta. In contrast with the areas further north, this area is a fascinating mosaic of mopane and acacia bushveld, riverine forest and the perennial Delta, playing host to diverse wildlife and birds.
Chitabe offers guests game drives in open 4WD vehicles during the day and at night, as well as nature walks. This is not a water activity camp. Surrounded by ancient ebony, leadwood and sausage trees, the camp itself offers eight luxurious, twin bedded, East African style tents, built on raised walkways and elevated wooden decks. Each en-suite tented room has hot and cold running water, verandah and an additional outdoor shower under the stars. A separate thatched dining room, bar and lounge area is linked by raised walkways.
There is also a plunge pool, gym and campfire area where guests can relax with drink in hand. Whilst at Chitabe Camp you will enjoy a morning and afternoon activity on each full day and an activity when time permits on your arrival and departure day.
Your stay is full board including house beverages (excluding premium brands) and laundry service.
