Qorokwe Camp is a brand new luxury safari camp set amongst some of the Okavango’s most diverse habitats.
Meaning “the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water”, exclusive Qorokwe sits amongst some of the Okavango’s most diverse habitats. Woodlands, open floodplains and pretty islands can be found all around this brand new camp, which is situated in a privately owned 64,000 acre concession that shares its name. This variety of productive environments supports a huge range of wildlife from lion and buffalo to African wild dog.
Accommodation at Qorokwe is offered in 9 tented suites, including one spacious family unit with its own plunge pool. Central to the campsite is an elegant dining area, lounge, library, bar and infinity pool, all facing a picturesque lagoon. Power is entirely supplied by solar panels, while all water is heated using thermodynamic solar geysers thus minimising Qorokwe’s environmental footprint.
Guests at Qorokwe are treated to highly productive day and night game drives, nature walks and if water levels are high enough, boating and mokoro-based activities. All excursions are led by highly skilled guides, whilst most of the hospitality services found at this superb campsite are provided by locals, many who come from communities neighbouring Qorokwe.
