Governors’ Il Moran Camp is The Governors’ Camp Collection’s most premium safari lodge inside Kenya’s world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.
On the Mara River inside the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, small and intimate Governors’ Il Moran Camp has all the little touches that makes it Governors’ most premium offering in the area. Shaded by ancient trees, the 10 ensuite guest tents are generously sized and contain luxuries such as freestanding claw-foot bathtubs, king-sized beds hewn from timber and comfortably furnished private verandas.
Meals and drinks can be enjoyed in the open-sided bar and dining tent, which overlooks the river, or amid the splendour of the African bush.
Game drives take place in custom-built 4WD vehicles, with the plains playing host to the annual wildebeest, zebra and gazelle migration from July through to October. It is also possible to view the plains from high above in a hot air balloon – an unforgettable experience.

How to get to Governors’ Il Moran Camp
There are scheduled and charter flights from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Musiara Airstrip (around 45 minutes). Guests are met on arrival and transferred to camp (15 minutes). It is also possible to drive from Nairobi to Il Moran Camp, but the journey is long – approximately 6 hours – and along roads of varying conditions.
