Mara Ngenche Safari Camp

Stay in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara.

Luxurious Mara Ngenche Safari Camp offers plenty of permanent game as well as excellent wildebeest migration viewing in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara.

Close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers, intimate and luxurious Mara Ngenche Safari Camp overlooks a natural pool popular with hippos and crocodiles. Each of the 12 guest tents at this property is partially enclosed in its own “boma” for safety and privacy, and furnished with romantic four-poster beds and outdoor showers. Each also boasts a freestanding claw-footed bathtub and its own private plunge pool.

The rest of the camp is unfenced which allows wildlife to move freely throughout the property. Enjoy a meal in the softly lit dining tent or a drink in the sumptuous lounge and bar area. It’s also possible to dine in the privacy of your own veranda or under the stars.

Game drives take place in open-sided safari vehicles led by expert guides. Other activities include educational lectures by the resident naturalist, Maasai cultural visits and entertainment by local Maasai warriors.

Mara Ngenche FAQ

A morning hot air balloon ride has become an increasingly popular activity in Africa – and for good reason. It offers a unique way of viewing the undulating African landscapes and variety of wildlife below. Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the very best places to do this. The vast open plains are perfect for seeing huge herds of wildebeest, giraffe and various antelope species. Sitting out on the savannah enjoy a champagne breakfast after your flight just tops off the experience.
