Rekero Camp

Deep in Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve, Rekero Camp offers unrivalled views of annual wildebeest migration river crossings and superb year-round gameviewing.

Set deep in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve, seasonal Rekero Camp offers dress-circle seats to one of nature’s greatest events – the annual wildebeest migration. Located by the Talek River, Rekero Camp is the nearest camp to exciting river crossings – occasionally visible from the camp’s main deck – as well as superb year-round gameviewing.

The property features just 9 tents (including 2 family tents), all with private ensuite bathroom and hot running water. Home-cooked meals are enjoyed communally, with afternoon tea and cake a camp tradition.

On a typical day at Rekero Camp, expect an early morning and late afternoon game drive, with free time in the afternoon to relax. The later outing usually ends with a sundowner, followed by drinks around the campfire and dinner. Other activity options available to guests include Maasai community visits and ever-popular hot air balloon safaris over the plains.
